January Sans Rich

Update for January goes as follows. Rich began his internship on January 3rd. He spent the first week in NYC training. He was home for the weekend and then shipped out last Sunday night for Three Rivers, MI. From the sounds of it, it is a booming metropolis with endless possibilities for entertainment. This past Friday night he took in some local color at the Monster Truck Rally with some other E&Y people. The poor guy has been sick since he left and hopefully is at the tail end of both his cold and the flu he caught on Saturday. He finally will be coming home this Friday and I am sure will be super happy to be home with all its comforts that the Holiday Inn Express is missing!

In other news, I have been spending lots of time with Lisa and Kelley, my two favorite neighbors. I had dinner at Kik and Ted's on Friday night, she made some yummy homemade pork wontons, nice work kik! Saturday I brunched with Lisa and then headed to CT to visit with Ashley and Rob. We had a great weekend! This coming weekend I will pass my husband in the airport on Friday to head down to Charlotte to visit Melissa and to attend Natalie's baby shower. She was up in Boston last week and came for dinner. She looks great and I think is ready to have that little girl and be comfortable again. Just a few more months to go. Then I will head home to finally see Rich, it feels like it has been a month already.

A few pictures below. The little buddy got a cute new puffy vest from the Hinmans, he looks super stylin in it. We also painted our bedroom a slate blue color and have hung some new artwork from Rich's parents and put up some beautiful lamps from Rich's Grandma L. I will post another picture later on of the new bedding...

Thats all for now (sorry I am so boring and dry but hopefully its better than nothing!). xoxox

A very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year (way late!)

I thought I would add a few quick posts just to let people know we are still alive here in Boston. We had a wonderful holiday season. The first part was spent with the Christenson family down in Sarasota, FL. The weather was not ideal, but we had a great time none the less. Carrie hosted a beautiful Christmas Eve dinner (while pregnant and not feeling well, I don't know how she does it!). Christmas day our new godson, Connor, was christened. He did a great job in church and then we went back to the condo for a yummy brunch to celebrate. We had Christmas dinner with my grandparents and Mom in Venice, FL that night. We spent the rest of the trip watching old home movies and looking at pictures, etc. It was a lot of fun for me to see all these memories and watch Rich as a child.

We then headed up to Rome for the remainder of the trip. We celebrated Christmas with my Dad and Deb and Jared and Jess. New Years Eve we went to Mirbeau Spa for a relaxing morning and lunch and then headed back to Mom's for appetizers and to celebrate the New Year in our fun outfits that Jared and Jess had picked out for us.

All in all it was a great week and we had fun seeing all of our family (except we were missing Tom and Michael). Hopefully we will see them in their newly renovated CT home soon! Love you all.
