The day after....

So now I know what Thanksgiving is all about. Some would answer family, friends, being thankful for all the great things that have happened during the past year. But I beg to differ. Thanksgiving is all about one thing, dishes.

Not the ones that go into the dishwasher either, they are china and they must be hand washed. Yeah, that pretty much sums up my Thanksgiving, dishes. Oh, there was the mild case of turkey coma I put myself in for 2 days, hence the title and timing of this post....you mean it really is Sunday? What happened to my life?

Well, turkey comas aside, I hope everyone enjoyed their Thanksgiving. I know that Jessica and I really enjoyed our first Thanksgiving as a maried couple, we even got to host it. Everyone knows how how much Jessica enjoys cooking, and the prospect of having Thanksgiving didn't phase her one bit. She had so much prepared ahead of time that the day was actually able to be enjoyed by the cook.

To prove that there were gobs and gobs of dishes, we took the following photo's.

Happy Thanksgiving!!

It's been awhile since I last posted but I wanted to make sure I made a post today to wish all of our friends and family a Happy Thanksgiving. The smell of turkey has already started here as I sit in my chair enjoying a cup of morning coffee and I can't wait till I get some stuffing and gravy with it.

Too fill you all in with whats been going on lately, Jessica and I attended a Pre-Thanksgiving day event at Kiki and Ted's new house. The turkey, in 'Tedition', was cooked on the barbeque, if you have never tried it, I would strongly suggest it.

Anyway, I hope everyone's travels are safe and I hope everyone has a very Happy Thanksgiving.

Enjoy the turkey!

We are still here...

Hello all. I am just posting to say that we are still alive and well. I think everyone would agree that Rich's posts are more entertaining, but he is too busy with school to write anything. Since we last posted, things have been busy, as usual.

In the beginning of October, I spent a week in San Fran organizing and overseeing an
investor conference that we hosted. Everything went well and I spent the last day of my trip relaxing at The Ritz at Half Moon Bay, which was incredibly beautiful and one of the best spas I have been to! The following week Julie was up in Boston for work and we had a chance to get together and have dinner and hang out which was great. The weekend of the 13th we headed down to Florida for Steve and Zoe's baby shower. Carrie and Sascha hosted a great Ocktoberfest themed shower for Connor. It was great to see the kiddos! Anja is getting so big, it's amazing how time flies. The following weekend Mom was in town and we attended the Barbara Streisand concert in style. We were in a luxury box (which is definately the way way to see a show) and she was a great entertainer! The following week my cousin Kelley came to town for an interview at America's Test Kitchen here in Boston and then stayed to look at some apartments. It sounds like her interview went well and she is coming back again next week for a kitchen bench test. Hopefully we will soon have another cousin here in Boston!

This past weekend we headed home to Rome for Cara and Lou's reception, post-elopement. They threw a great party and it was nice that we all were able to get together to celebrate them becoming husband and wife. I have posted a few pics from the event below.

Anywho, thats all for now. Rich had an exam this morning so hopefully that went well and he will get to take a breather tonight! This weekend we are actually home and will have a chance to relax. We are heading to Addie and Ryans for dinner on Friday night, along with Kik and Ted (and ofcourse Jax is coming too :) ). Otherwise we plan on just taking hanging at home. Hope everyone is well! xoxox
