Happy Monday

Just checking in with everyone to let you know we haven't been up to much of anything! Rich has been focused on GMAT prep and getting his application in for NorthEastern. This past weekend we worked on the maps for welcome boxes that will go in everyones hotel rooms on the wedding weekend. It was a lengthy process to label the rehersal spot, church, reception and hotel with stars and make a key on the left to explain each star, then fold each one up like a regular map. Hopefully it will make it easier for everyone to find their way around in Boston. I also did a few other wedding related things and worked on Kimberly's shower invitations. It was a low key weekend, but we both got a lot done.

Skiing is pretty much out of the picture for us this year :(. Rich will be retaking the GMAT in 2 weeks and by then what little snow we have I expect will be gone. We will probably go to Rome when Rich is done with his test to help my brother paint his new house. That project is almost finished and looks amazing! Hopefully they will have a better time finishing up and moving in than Melissa and Mark did.

Hope everyone is doing well. We will try and post pictures sometime if we do anything worth taking a picture of ;). I did attach a photo of a test wedding cake that the baker made for us. We were happy with the design and are goign to go for it! XOX

See Carrie! Jax can roll over too!

If the video does not display properly
click here to upgrade to Flash 8

Carrie, to answer your question about posting video, here is one of Jax rolloing over. Whats great is we can do this through a site called VideoEgg.com. On there we can even cut the video to end or start in places we choose.

Anyway, take one of anja and call me, I'll walk you through how to do it.

PS - I need to thank rob for using this on his site which made me look into it. He now uses Google Video but honestly, I am not a fan since I think it posts to the public...Rob maybe you can tell me why.

Blizzard hits Northeast

So, I guess the news right now is wondering whether or not to call this a blizzard. Who knows why they need to classify a storm that's expected to leave 15-20 inches of snow around Boston.

Anywho, Jessica and I took some early pictures of the storm for all you warm weather people to see. As usual, our morning coffee place was open, again. They are always open on snowy days, no matter the forecasted amount, lucky us.

Here's an early shot of the car last night before we went to sleep, just for a baseline.

Here's another one of the car, I did my first shovel of the day in this one.

Jessica, Jax and me on our walk to get coffee, this was around 8 am so the snow isn't too deep yet.

If you remember last year, I parked on the side of the street where the plow dumps all the snow. Glad I didn't make that mistake again this year....

We'll keep posting pictures as the day gets farther along. I'll probably also create a photo album with all the pictures, lucky you guys!

Steve and Zoe Vist Boston and Connecticut

Steve and Zoe visited Boston this weekend. After traveling for 12 hours this past Friday, they finally were able to leave Tampa and made the flight to Boston in one piece. For a few hours there, no one really knew if they would fly out of Tampa. Apparently it was the 4th rainiest day in Tampa's recoded history (so they told me).

Anyway, after a very long delay, they made it to Boston. From there, Jessica, Steve, Zoe and I took the car to Tom and Michaels house in Sharon Connecticut. You can see updated pictures of their house in the album to the right or on their page.

Anyway, when we arrived on Saturday Tom and Michael took us into NY State for lunch and a trip to a Vineyard. We visited Millbrook Vineyards which just happened to be a carrier of Williams & Selyem label. While there we tried the following wines:
Millbrook
White
2004 Chardonnay - Millbrook
2004 Chardonnay Proprietor's Special Reserve - Millbrook

Red
2004 Grand Reserve Pinot Noir - Millbrook
2004 Cabernet Franc - Millbrook
2002 Pinot Noir - Sonoma Coast
2002 Pinot Noir - Russian River Valley

Honestly, lots of people say that the Russian River is supposed to be better than the Sonoma Coast but I think the Sonoma Coast tasted better. Maybe it was the vintage.

Anyway, we went back to Tom and Michaels where Tom made us a fantastic dinner coupled with some perfect wine choices. I'd list them here but the only one I can remember is the Opus One.

The following day we awoke to a tour of the grounds and the guest house. Then their real estate agent came by to show us all the neighbors 3 million dollar estate. Never know when you'll be in the market.

Sunday Night
We'll we had planned last week to make Chili Cheese dogs for the Super Bowl, we also planned on pairing that with some classic crappy food such as wings, mozzarella sticks and plenty of chips. We never hit the sticks but ate the rest of it. I'm not sure how we ate that food after the weekend we had but, we fit it in.

Finally, on the day that Steve and Zoe left, we went to the Science Museum to check out the Star-Wars exhibit. It was pretty cool, but much smaller than I thought it would be.

Well, Jessica is telling me this is way to long now so I better quit writing. Talk to you all later.
