First Snow of the Season!!!

Well, the weather people had it all wrong, we got more than just some separates flurries, it's coming down out there. Being the winter lovers, we are very happy to see the season starting so early. Hopefully the ski season will be a nice long one. Jessica found out that the is going to be able to go out to Tahoe this year with work, I'll be sticking to the east coast myself.

Anyway, looks like Jessica and I are going to try and go to the Star Wars exhibit at the science museum this weekend which should be pretty cool. Other than that, some house cleaning and laundry, I don't think we will be doing much.

Hope all is well with you guys.
Oh yeah, we got a home phone through comcast this past week, if you ever feel like calling it, here's the number.

Washed out weekend

This weekend we had some pretty rainy and cold weather. Rich didn't get home from Springfield until late on Friday and I just went to dinner with my cousin.

On Saturday we went to brunch with Lisa. She was a friend of ours that we spent a lot of time with freshman year at Gettysburg. She then transfered to Hamilton College. We stayed in touch through the years and she just moved home to Wellesley and will be getting an apartment in the city very soon. It was nice to catch up with her. Then we took a chance and went apple picking even though it was raining. We lucked out and it rained on the way there and on the way home but not while we were picking. It is always a fun thing to do and leaves are so beautiful, even when it is a gray day. Then we went to Kik and Teds for dinner and game night. All in all a fun day.

Sunday was somewhat less eventful. We never got off the couch until 6pm :). It was not nice out and we just had a movie marathon and hung out with Jax.

Nothing too exciting coming up. Rich tells me he finally got a chance to go to the range today at Smith and Wesson and said he was pretty good. I believe he is staying in Springfield tonight.

Signing off for now. XOX

Our last two weekends have worn us out!

Yes folks, I know it's been some time since I last posted. During the week I am usually to busy commuting to and from Smith and Wesson out in Springfield, MA, and during the weekend I have Jessica running me around doing errands like there is no tomorrow (makes for a fast but great weekend).

Let me begin by telling you all about the last two weekends.

1st Weekend of October, 1st and 2nd
Awhile back when Spamalot came to Broadway, everyone in the world tried to get tickets, including us. We were very unsuccessful at our attempts but were fortunate enough to have friends of ours, Addie and Ryan, stumble across some seats when her mother visited the box office. Although the seats were listed as obstructed view, you will soon see that they were some of the coolest seats in the house.

Have you ever wondered how you go about getting the box seats near the side of the stage? Well, so have I, and you know what? Those are the seats we got! Fine they didn't have the best view of rear stage or right stage but what really goes on there anyway (actually that's not a rhetorical question, what did happen on side and rear stage ;) j/k). We took some pics of the stage and the seats for those of you at home.

Of course we stayed at Tom and Michaels in NY and were able to have brunch with them on both Saturday and Sunday. We were even lucky enough to enjoy a fall walk to one of our Favorite Bakerys in NY, Magnolia. This is the perfect place to walk to on a Sunday morning when the weather is clear, plus you don't have to worry about lunch since you usually fill up on their cupcakes. I didn't know this at the time, maybe Jessica did, but while searching for Magnolia's website (still can't find it) I found out that Magnolia was featured in an episode of Sex and the City. Never being a big fan myself, I really didn't know or care ;).

2st Weekend of October, 8th and 9th
Ok fine, you got me. This weekend wasn't really very busy, nor did we do anything that exciting. However, after much debate, I finally purchased a Flat Panel TV. While I didn't pickup the TV I was originally going out for, I picked up a great one for an amazing price. This Sony was the TV I purchased.

I was originally going out for a Sharp Aquas but I found this Sony that was an open box buy at Best Buy. All told we saved ourselves about $550 off the original price, even after the purchase of a 4 year warranty! I think we made out pretty well. That, coupled with our new TV cabinet, adds about 5-10 square feet of living space to our living room, a huge amount of space in a 640 sq foot apartment!

Here's a picture to make you all a little jealous.
