What a weekend!

There isn't a free weekend in our near future, so do you think that kept us at home to do the chores that have built up? Heck no!

When Jessica's Mom suggested going to The Cape, we packed our bags, left Jax and Jessica's cousin, Kimberly, and took off in the car. The trip down was a breeze, 1 hour 30 minutes total ride time from Boston. I really feel bad for Jessica's Mom, Brother (Jared) and girlfriend (Jess), theirs was a 6 hour car ride from upstate NY.

For those of you who don't know this yet, this weekend was the first full weekend of fall and boy was it ever a great weekend. The Cape welcomed us with wonderful weather to do what New Englanders do best, play outdoors.

While the grounds of our hotel, Oceans Edge had amazing grounds and a beautiful croquet court, we thought it was more our style to go for a Bike Ride. So we did, attached below are some pictures of the Ride and the Hotel we stayed in.

As you can see, alot of this Rail Trail looks like the one in Bermuda, although there you could ride scooters (for the first few years anyway).

We dined out, ate Ice Cream, dined out some more and ate even more Ice Cream. I'd say the trip was a success! Hope you all can come and visit!

Wow! I almost forgot the best part of the trip, sort of. On the way back to the hotel, while biking, we ran into a group of dogs dressed up in their Holloween Costumes. I've included my favorite costume below.

Jessica received an early Birthday Present!

That is right ladies and gentlemen, you heard me right. Jessica's Mother came this weekend to spend time and to celebrate her birthday. They had plans to go to the Cape and relax on the beach, however, leftovers from various hurricanes kept the Cape clouded in.

That didn't stop them from celebrating. Including dinner and shopping, Jessica got a sweet sweet chair from Mitchell Gold. This replaced one of Jax's favorite chairs in the house and probably the ugliest, the white Ikea chairs.

The good news is, Jax loves the new chair. And why wouldn't he? It's bigger, softer, nicer looking and definitely more stylish. I've included some pictures of the Chair and Fabric pattern below. Believe it or not, that pillow was not bought with the chair, Jessica had sown that a few weeks before she got it, matches pretty well doesn't it?

And if you're really wondering if Jax likes the new chair or not, I included a picture of Jax on it. See how happy he looks?

Boring Bostonians

Well, we aren't building a house, buying a house, buying a boat or having a baby, but I just figured I would report our news from the North.

We spent Labor Day visiting everyone in Florida. Anja is a beautiful baby and couldn't be more snuggly. The Christenson/Schwarzbauer families are very lucky to have such a beautiful addition. Hopefully we will see her lots. We also got to see the new boat and Steve and Zoe's house progress. Looking forward to seeing both again when we are down for Thanksgiving and hopefully Anja's christening.

This past weekend Julie and Caleb were with us in Boston. Our condo fared quiet well with a baby on board. We were afraid the walls might close in on us with all the gear but it was great. Caleb loves Rich and Jax is his new best friend. He spent the entire weekend saying "ARFF".

We are just here enjoying the most incredible time of year in Boston. There is a bit of the fall chill in the air and the weather has been incredible. Rich is home in Boston for Senior training this week which is a nice switch. Other than that, nothing new to report. We miss you all. Congrats again to Tom and Michael!

Time to step up to the plate

I was just shown this today, IQ Test. Not being one to pass an opportunity to show off my brilliance, I took the test, using a fake name as well as fake email address (I mean this is an IQ test, filling those in with the correct information on the web should actually hurt your score).

for example, I used
Name - Bob Lewinsky
email - bob.bobinator@yahoo.com

Anyway, here are my results:

Congratulations, Bob! (my fake name, pretty awesome isn't it?)
Your IQ score is 131

This number is based on a scientific formula that compares how many questions you answered correctly on the Classic IQ Test relative to others.

Your Intellectual Type is Facts Curator. This means you are highly intelligent and have picked up an impressive and unique collection of facts and figures over the years. You've got a remarkable vocabulary and exceptional math skills - which puts you in the same class as brainiacs like Bill Gates. And that's just some of what we know about you from your test results.

Why not give it a shot to see if you can't beat me!
